Ironic, as always, plenty of inconsiderate moves done in Singapore, when plenty of people are in misery of retrenchment worries, and the new commitment ‘Always for Singaporeans’ policy – Singapore’s very owned Civil Servant are talking about 4.3% wage increase.

“Saving jobs” are now becoming more and more trendy phrase to be used in Singapore’s ministry, as their powerfull motto for their locals in Singapore.

Singapore, if only you know who are the most generous contributors (without ever taking any single cents back from it) to your own pocket money to be given freely to your very own citizens as ‘growth dividend’, ‘GST Rebates’ and so on… probably you’ll be more thankful then the ‘Be Thankful’ guy has ever been in his life.

So this time Civil Servant in Singapore will get pay cut, including President, Prime Ministers and Ministers. I saw last night in Channel 5 News was a huge payment which I could not find that article in Channel NewsAsia but finally I found it in MyPaper website, which is belong to Singapore Press Holding – this is a different company then Mediacorp who owns TV Channels in Singapore including Channel NewsAsia, Channel 5 News and most of Radio channels.

Here is what I found as an impressive salary, and (one of) the highest in the world even compare to ‘peanuts’ that US President’s salary is.

Singapore Salary for Civil Servants per annum:

President SGD 3.14 millions drop 19% pay cut.
Prime Minister SGD 3.04 millions drop 19% pay cut.
Ministers SGD 1.57 millions drop 18% pay cut.
Allowances for Members of Parliament SGD 190.000 drop 16% pay cut.

Those are what they call as PAY CUT on their salary!

And just the following below is what listed in TODAY paper, a newspaper belong to MediaCorp.

If I properly read this article from TODAY paper, I didnt see any specific statement stated as clear as MyPaper when they informed about sensitive information.
[Correction] There is in the continued page… čÖé

When they proudly mentioned ‘they join the misery of people’ by doing the same pay cut, what they have in their ‘pay cut’ is equal to what we as decent people has in 10 years of salary – you see what I’m trying to say!

GST tax in Singapore, which has impact to all people ‘across the board’ to anybody in Singapore, decided to stick with its rate as 7%… even thought lots of ‘pressures’ to squeeze down this GST to soften the impact of economy slow down and hope to boost up sales in Singapore.

NO… Singapore Government has decided NOT to reduce GST to any rate lower then the current one 7%, BUT Singapore Government has planned to give MORE CASH money to ONLY all its Citizen in next year 2009 BUDGET, to soften the impact of economy slow down and I doubt it will boost the sales.

So again… everybody else in Singapore will be squeezed down all the way as the impact of economy slow down including its Permanent Residence people.

You see, Permanent Residence AGAIN being squeezed in the middle, while PR pay the same amount of TAX to Government, we pay the SAME amount of deduction to CPF board every month never miss BUT PR pays more expensive for ALL others like School Fees, Medical Fees in Clinic / Hospitals to name a few of them.

What question might have been thrown to PR in Singapore… if you still feel confident to Singapore economy, you will still staying in Singapore, else you might have been migrated out of Singapore… or you can’t take the squeeze, you may always welcome to convert Singapore citizen and sacrificing all what your own country might have better – aka. Land Space.

On the other hand, if you read my previous article, more money given from Government to Citizen’s left hand, that means more money will be taken from Citizen’s right hand… that means MORE SQUEEZE will be happening to everybody all in general in Singapore including AGAIN Permanent Residence! – this is from Singaporeans comment.

Somebody is playing their card right…

After has been several occassions, and it even become public secrets, that Permanent Residents, Foreigners in Singapore have been treated as ‘milk-ing cow’ for their own economy growth, with any single cents given back to them… as in this article:

Still Singapore government ministry without any hesitation claims that Singaporeans, their own citizen, will come first in any growth and occassions and possibilities, as in this article below:

What about those new comer Citizens who have converted sacrificing their own nature birth citizenship to be Singaporeans, will these flocks of people be considered as citizen and enjoy all what they keep saying as ‘benefit growth dividends’ or whatever terms they keep saying it as, or perhaps these flocks of foreign-born Singaporeans will not enjoy anything on what nature-born Singaporeans from their government?

Government still claims as they need in-flock immigrants into Singapore to grow their economy, to be Permanent Resident to supply CPF to their pool of monies, and to pay taxes to for their salary, their growth dividends, and their all Maternity and Parenthood Packages or whatever they call it will be on next year, and have their boys to be sent to NSmen with a single hope to stay alive in the ‘training’ – without any guarantee that any government-related ministry will be responsible in case any mishap happens.

FYI: West Malaysian people who become Singapore Permanent Resident will permanently be loosing their CPF money, without being able to withdraw back their money even in the case they surrender their PR status. On contrary, other country-born Singapore Permanent Resident will still have a chance to withdraw their CPF money out in the case they surrender their PR status, but with a single thing in mind, this type of person will never be able to get back the Singapore PR status in any time.

So you decide.

Singapore, it is always the case where “the right-hand” is taken from “the left-hand”, everytime there is any occassions of money given “freely” term.

So here is another case, while they claim as the giving hands is always more money then the hand taken back those money… Welcome to Singapore!

When power bills is complained by several people, as it is the same timing as the second installment (batch) of the “GROWTH DIVIDEND” and the same timing as when the transport fare increase, and the 21% increase of the power bills…

Whether the “giving right-hand” is more then the “taking left-hand” – you decide! But one thing for sure… the Singaporeans way of answering this increase… let’s save the usage of electricity at home, and less transport or walks more or use bicycle for healthy reason!

Street71.

When they claim, electricity tariff is tied to the Oil Price, while their Electricity Generator is powered by Gas… it is always they declare that oil price went up, electricity tariff would go up – that is logical.

Well, it seems like logical-thinking in Singapore needs to be fine-tuned further, as it becomes up side down, when it term of Oil Price – Electricity Tariff – Gas-Powered Electricity Generator comes in the picture, again specially in Singapore.

As the oil price goes down, but still the electricity goes up! You don’t want to listen how rediculuous their reason is.

The best part is… when citizen hear this, the first thing comes out from their mouth… we have to save the use of electricity further again. UNBELIEVABLE! They just accept as it is.
