Foreign Workers

Here is another case but they call them as Migrant Workers instead of Foreign Workers in Singapore, where their employer(s) do not want to be responsible anymore for their welfare after the pinch was so hard to them.

What is actually the different between Migrant Workers vs. Foreign Workers while both have been treated the same by Singapore’s employers after they brought into Singapore by paying huge amount of money, and a mountain high debt in their home country?

We will see whether any official ministry or government be involved in the resolution, or they will still stick their attention to their own local people first based on the policy ‘First for Singaporeans’ – while these migrant workers brought into Singapore just to keep their own local business competitive and running smoothly in production.

Do we treat these ‘HEROES’ this way?

Well well… here is the new commitment made public based on the ‘Always for Singaporeans’ policy that they have in hands, xenophobia.

And the above shocking article has received an ‘endorsement’ direct from Prime Minister himself as in the following article news flash below.

Article on ‘Xenophobia’ which is taken from Wikipedia:

Xenophobia is an intense dislike and/or fear of people from other countries. It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning “foreigner,” “stranger,” and φόβος (phobos), meaning “fear.” The term is typically used to describe a fear or dislike of foreigners or of people significantly different from oneself.

As of the current and previous experience in Social Harmony living in Singapore, foreigners are always be in the ‘exile’ in this country, cast-away from society, never even close to warm-welcome by the local people in Singapore’s infamous ‘social harmony’ worth of living environment.

Plus the two above articles made public in a free newspaper and the ‘No.1 News Channel’ in Singapore – The Channel NewsAsia news website, have made another gaps become bigger and bolder.

So my dear foreigners, do you still want to contribute to economy by working in Singapore and have some level of confidence on Singapore? – I’m sure you still will 🙂

The place that we love most to go with our children in Singapore is Singapore Zoo, in fact this is the best only place in Singapore where every tourist must see, as none others here worth to see.

One of the exhibits that we love to see, and perfect objects for attraction and professional photography is the white tigers, some of the photos that we have during our most recent visit on 8 Nov 2008, are as following for the white tigers exhibit:

But in this exhibit has become a place for one desperate Malaysian guy commit suicide yesterday, by jumping plunging down to the exhibits and attracting animals attention which then attacked and killed him instantly.

And here is what in the newspaper said:

Well, that’s life.. such a nice and full of fun place, now changed and closed temporarily due to this incident, is life in Singapore has so much stress to walk through?

Street71.

Impressive, the debate continues all the way on where the foreign workers should be housed, their lodging btw, and now they proposed to be housed OFF-SHORE in a nearby island and even in a floating lodging proposal.

It is proposed, and we’ll see whether it will get approved, and there we go to have our Singapore’s very owned Alcatraz for Foreign Workers lodging.

Here are the two most recent articles about Scams that are happening in Singapore, the place where most people think as a safe place as the law is stand straight and claimed as “nobody is above the law” in Singapore.

This is what is in last Friday article:

And this is in Today article:

As you may have read in the second article above, the victims are mostly FOREIGN WORKERS (PRs to be – what I can mostly they are PR candidate when they found Singapore is interesting)… Foreign workers who are always be in the lost when any complaint, or always become a victim of situation, taken for granted…

While in real-life these FOREIGN WORKERS are the one contributing to all what they are PAYING as what they known as ‘Growth Dividend’ – monies which PR will never enjoy to receive out from what they are paying much more expensive then the money that their citizen contribute.

Street71.

This is what PR (Permanent Resident) has been boiled, grilled and treated in Singapore… and this is the maximum that PR can do to voice out their protest…

PR is paying the taxes with much higher price-tag then local Singaporean citizens, as they have their other tax benefits and parenthood packages, much lower maid levy and so on the list is continue to grow….

PR is paying the same amount of CPF deductible fee from their salary every month to contribute to the Singapore Economy growth, and to pay for their own Citizen ‘Growth Dividends’, ‘SRS’ Shares, ‘ERS’ Shares, and so on the term they used to call it, is getting nicer sweeter, and politer but if you see all these terms are all still refer to one thing which they claimed ‘There is NO money politics in Singapore’.

PR still have to pay much higher and higher and higher school fees, child-care, health-care at the Polyclinics, Singapore Government General Hospitals, as their subsidies is getting lower and lower to PR, due to their Citizen claims that PR does NOT deserve the subsidies, PR only to contribute, BUT never receive anything in return.

If the GOVERNMENT does NOT to hand out freebies to PRs, tighten the requirement to become a PRs (as the last sentence in that article stated)… or they are taking advantage of what the society is complaining like those subsidies and so on, or perhaps there is NO complaint at all and create such a story with complaints… Will they have ever think to tighten the requirement and regulation to become a PR in Singapore, and sacrifice all the benefits that a PR can contribute to Singapore? Time will prove it someday…

What would have happened to Singapore if all PR surrender their PR-ship status and grab all their CPR monies out of Singapore with them, and leave out Singapore?

So now with all the above giving, charges, fees, no subsidies, higher payment contribution, and NOTHING receives back as ‘Growth Dividend’ back to PR, who actually OWNS this country red-dot called Singapore then? You answer – discretely off course!

When about 100 Chinese nationals foreign construction workers from China were having disputed with their Ssangyong Constructions due to another agency cheaper labour-costs, they were about to have salary cut from a promised contracted S$ 1,700 to about S$ 1,200 – they went protest to Ministry of Manpower Singapore, and (international) press involved on this news…

When these similar complaints will always favor to the company rather then the employees, specially large company who has invested (perhaps) billions of dollars into Singapore economy, but in this case these Chinese nationals foreign construction workers win the ‘suit’ with MOM decision to favor them…

Has this got anything to do with the (international) press involvement to spread the news until the Chinese government heard the news and any intervention has taken place that make the decision pressurized to be the favor towards the workers? You decide…
